The bee is perfect for even my 4year old child. It comes with a small handheld air plastic pump to fill it with air. It takes about 5mins to pump it full of air in which you insert a plug that is included too. The bee is made from a very thick plastic like rubber material. The antennas on the bee a perfect to be held onto while bouncing. He's turning six now and this thing has stood the test of time! Him, his brother, and his little sister have used this thing for years and I've never had to reinflate it, it still has the air in it from years ago and these are some hefty, big-boned kids (the oldest is about 75 lbs and can bounce on this toy without any concerns). It comes with a manual air pump to get ready for your little one. My 20 month old loves it so much. It is easy for him to get on himself and get off and he bounces around the living room for quite a while. When he gets super excited it is easy to fall off. But the feet of the bumble bee feet are rubber so it stays upright. I haven&rsquo;t had to replace any of the air which tells me it&rsquo;s very durable. My little one holds on to the antennas as he&rsquo;s bouncing around and just loves it. He will occasionally sit on it, but it is nowhere near as bouncy as you would think. I also found it to be a bit difficult to keep blown up. Blowing it up wasn't so bad, but a lot of air comes back out as soon as you try to plug the hole. The quality is nice though. It's a nice thick rubber, so that's good. It's made of thick plastic which is great since my daughter is teething and loves to stand at the front of the bee and chew on it's antennas. It's easy to pump up and deflate for easy storage. My son loves to sit on this bee and bounce away while watching tv, he will also drag it around the house like its a ride on car or something.
