It&rsquo;s a bit of a pain to install but definitely worth it, especially if it&rsquo;s going to stay in car and not switch back and forth. The quality is great, the belt/clip are easy, and the low sides make it easy for kids to get in and out. I bought the cup holders that go with this and that was the cherry on top for my kiddo! As such I can directly compare the new generation of Diono seats to the previous (admittedly excellent) one. Diono must have listened to previous owners as the new seat features all the great ideas and quality of the previous Radian series, but has been improved in several areas: - The neoprene-like cover now extends fully down the back of the seat, providing a covered storage area for all the clips and attachments when travelling. We just took the seat on an international trip and with the addition of Diono's $10 shoulder strap it was so easy to carry through the airport. - The LATCH system clips have been redesigned and are now even easier to install and release. The strap they are attached to is also permanently bolted to the back of the seat so no risk of it sliding out when removing/installing the seat. - The chest clip is now smaller and smoother so less of an irritation for smaller children. - A small one, but the attachment point for the cup holder has been moved slightly to a more sensible point on the base. Overall - I love these seats. I was a fan of Diono before and the evolution of the new Radian models just reinforces my opinions.
