Dentists recommend kicking the paci habit by the time baby is 12 months old. We've got the weaning process down to a science (literally!) with this 5-step system to ditch the pacifier for good. Each paci is progressively shorter - and less satisfying - so baby gives that binky the boot. No kitchen scissors required!
5 STEP SYSTEM: Gradually reduces sucking satisfaction to wean from orthodontic nipple only.
DENTIST DESIGNED: Invented by a pediatric dentist.
BOOT THE BINKY: Most effective on kiddos under 12 months.
BPA-FREE: Latex-free and BPA-free. Silicone nipples. What's Inside? 5 orthodontic-shaped dentist-designed pacifiers that get shorter with each step

My child at one point had 7 pacis (yes, I'm aware I created a paci monster. It was the only thing that calmed him down and he LOVED them. Plus I was tired of fishing them out from under the crib every night at 2am). We took time to get rid of the car paci and dropped down from 6 crib pacis to just one. My little boy is 2 (26 months if you want to be specific) and he started getting attached to a stuffed animal so I took this as the time to transition out of pacis. This weaning system was great for us. It was not a tear-free process which I expected and the first couple nights he was upset that his paci didn't work BUT it worked wonders in getting us to drop them entirely. To be fair, I don't think it would've worked had he not started showing signs he was ready to let them go. It took about 10 days for him to no longer ask for pacis or look for them. If you have a toddler that's super into pacis and starting to show signs of letting them go, I highly recommend these.
Date published: 2023-07-20

Rated 5 out of 5 by Elaine from Amazing product This product is amazing. I scoured the internet for reviews before I purchased so wanted to write a detailed review for the next person wondering about this. I weaned my 20 month old twins from the dummy using this. They were waking up heaps in the night for the dummy and I was over it but it's a tricky age as they wouldn't have understood the dummy fairy etc., and it was too harsh for us to just go cold Turkey. We also really struggled to limit the use of the soother in the day, if it was around or they found one they had it. But this product was amazing. We started with a proper dummy similar shape to these ones and then 2 days on each dummy. They were a little annoyed on the first day as they clearly wanted their other ones but it seemed to be a minor inconvenience for them. Then they adjusted really well as we moved on with the numbers. When we got to number 5 there is nothing to actually suck on, it's just the hard plastic piece so they kinda chewed it etc and then we said all gone! And they threw it in the bin themselves. No issues or crying going to bed that night... they didn't miss it at all as they were probably not getting satisfaction from sucking any more. I thought I would really miss the dummy in the car and pram and at night time but it has been such a smooth transition. I can't even imagine going cold Turkey with my fiery babies it would have been so hard. Honestly think this product is amazing and made the transition so smooth.
Date published: 2023-06-01

Rated 5 out of 5 by HmEvans from Miracle worker This system worked amazing and haf my daughter off of her paci in a week.
Date published: 2022-11-07

Rated 1 out of 5 by Kat27 from 9 month old hates it! Our 9 month old is a great Sleeper now, but will scream in the middle of the night if he wakes and can't find his pacifier. Once he gets it, he goes right back to sleep. We got this weaning system to break him of needing the paci to sleep and figured it would be easy. He doesn't care about his pacifier at any other time and has had a variety of shapes and brands since we were gifted quite a few. He took the #1 for literally seconds before spitting it out. If we give it to him during the day to try and get used to it, he'll suck on it once and spit it back out. So far we're three days in just trying to get him to take it. Forget about trying to get him to sleep with it! I really wanted this product to work for us, but unfortunately it did not.
Date published: 2021-03-25

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nellie09 from We Love Fridababy Products! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have three kids that have all been hooked on pacifiers.
