My 2 and 4 year old love this dog. They play with it for what seems like at least an hour every sitting. My 2 year old sometimes drags it around by the remote leash despite our constant scolding not to. It's held up so far, so I guess you can take that for what it's worth as far as durability goes. The app is great. They love playing the mini games and earning points to buy new clothes and accessories to dress them in. They also love that they can take a picture of whatever stuffed animal they wand and dress it up on the screen as well. My biggest complaint with the app is the high pitched squeal that comes from the tablet to communicate with the dog. It drives my wife and I crazy. It would be nice if it communicated via verbal cues, or even bluetooth. The ear piercing tones are annoying. I could see if you were older and couldn't hear noises of the higher frequencies, but my wife and I are still in our 20s and we hear every noise. We thought the speaker on our tablet was going bad the first time we heard it. This is the reason for the 4 stars. She plays with it for hours at end. She loves taking it for walks. It moves really nice on our hard wood floors. It has a lot of features and easy to use for a young child. My daughter named her puppy Daisy. She sleeps with her every night and takes her for a walk before she goes to school. She has even bought some toys for the dog and her own blanket. This is an awesome interactive toy that any young child will love. It has a nice feature that it will shut off when not in use, saving money on batteries. I give it 4 stars only because of the price of they toy and the leash being a little short. I girl has played with this toy almost everyday since we recieved it. She loves clapping at it to make it walk to her. The dog will sit and bark and walk and has been dropped tested from the bed, couch, and kitchen table and is still working. It is really amazing. She also plays with this dog more than her own dog. She will use the app on the phone to feed it and bathe it. Whenever i ask her to feed are real dog she moans and growns about doing it. GoGo was our first FurReal Friend. We were lucky enough to be chosen in a Bzzagent campaign to receive and review this toy. My child and myself were really surprised at how realistic the dog is. The dog barks and responds to commands. I was a bit apprehensive as to whether or not it would actually perform the command but it worked great. Unlike other toys, my child only had to say the command once and the dog responded immediately. She did not have to repeat the command a million times to get the dog to perform. Definitely a plus. Also, the dog is well made. My child has been playing with it for a couple of months now and it is still working as well as when we took it out of the box. A damp cloth about once a week keeps the fur clean. I gave this toy a 5 star rating and would have given a higher one if possible. My daughter was SO excited to see her Furreal Friends Get Up &amp; Go-GO, My Walking Pup toy. She couldn't wait to get it out of the box and test it out. Installing the app on her Ipad was super easy and quick. Within minutes she figured out how to feed her pup, wash her pup, etc on her Ipad. She took her puppy for a &quot;walk&quot; around the house and taught it to sit and stand. She couldn't wait to show her friend and the rest of her family. Their eyes lit up from the minute we unboxed the toy and they are still playing with it weeks later which is huge for me since nothing is worse when you get your kids a new toy and then it's tucked in the back of the closet within a couple weeks. One of the things that the kids really enjoyed about this pet is the ability to play with it though a free app on their iPad. The girls are able to play games, bathe, and decorate their puppy all within the app. I enjoy that aspect of the toy because it merges play on the iPad with the real world, and it's a great imagination play option on a cold and rainy day. We owned a similar style toy a few years ago, so I was looking forward to see how this one stacked up. While you can only achieve so much realism in a toy, this pup is pretty cool. When it's idle it will sit down on it's hind legs, pant, and patiently wag it's tail. It was adorable to see the level of interaction the toy is capable of. My kids like most, are a little rambunctious, the good news is that after several weeks of playing they haven't broken anything nor have I had to change the batteries. My only two complaints about the toy is that there is no ability to steer the puppy, the front wheels don't articulate at all so the girls are constantly readjusting the puppy while she is walking down the hall. The other thing I noticed, although minor, was that the puppy lost some of her fur the first few days. Nothing major, just noticeable on our hardwood floors. If they press the button just once, the dog will whimper and pant and wag her tail. When the dog is not being walked it will make fun dog sounds by itself. She will sit down and make noises if you pet her head. There is also a really neat cool associated with this toy so my daughter can feed her, bathe her, take pictures of her on her Android tablet!!! The dog itself is soft and my daughter considers it cuddly. It seems rather durable. She is light weight and fits easily into smaller children's hand. She has one button that you control her with on her leash making it very easy for children to work and play with. Her little barks and wagging tail can do nothing but make you fall in love with her. Her appearances is inviting to children. Big eyes and soft fur. Since my kids are small we do not have any pets at our house other than hermit crabs which are easy to take care of. My daughter received this item in the mail and was thrilled that she had her very own dog to take care of. The dog interacts with your child. She sits when you pet her and makes puppy noises while playing with it. You can even take the dog for a walk which my daughter loves to do. The Fur Real Pet also has an app that you download and it has many activities that you can do with it. My daughters favorite part of the app is that you can take an actual picture of the dog, give it a bath, feed her and even have her play fetch. It would keep her busy for hours if I let her play with it that long. It also helps give a child a sense of independence and responsibility of taking care of an animal. She treats this dog as its a real animal and even made it its own bed to sleep in. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who doesn't and even does have a pet. Unfortunately that was about the last of her excitement. The leash has one button on it. That triggers the puppy to start &quot;walking.&quot; It walks straight and that is it. It walks into walls and door frames because if you tug on the leash the least little bit it falls over. The directions were very lacking too. We did figure out the clapping loud and talking to it part but half the time the puppy did not respond. She played with this puppy for about 20 minutes and it has been in the corner under a pile of other toys since. She is always asking to play with the App. Since the dog is white, she does not want to put it on the floor to play. She does not enjoy all the features of the dog fully. She has older brothers who are always trying to take over the dog. They admit that the dog is girly but they enjoy interacting with it. It would be nice if the boys had a version. If they come out with another I hope they change the color. As far as the dog goes my daughter never asks to play with it. She was very excited when I pulled it out of the box and couldn't wait to open it and try it out. We put the batteries in and tested out all of it's robotic features. For whatever reason, my daughter was a bit creeped out by this. While the actions/sounds are meant to mimic a real dog, they are very obviously not real, which I think she had a hard time with. She flipped the switch off and played with the toy in a more imaginative way for several minutes. After that, the toy found a spot in her room and has pretty much stayed there. (It is in plain sight, so it's not as if she has forgotten about it.) Every once in awhile, she will pull it out, but she never turns the switch on. Since this is a robotic toy, it's not very cuddly. I think my daughter is more the stuffed animal type and has no problems &quot;talking&quot; for them or having them do actions. When she took her FurReal Friends pup out of the box she quickly named her Maple and gained a new best friend. Her favorite feature is the leash which is very realistic. Maple can sit, makes noises and wiggles her tail. The best part about her is there is no messy clean up. Our four year old has also taken a liken to Maple. They both take Maple for walks in and outside of our home. This puppy has been my daughter's new best friend since she saw the box. She has wanted a puppy, but due to her allergies we have not gotten her a real one, so this was a great treat for her! The first thing she did was name her puppy &quot;sparkle.&quot; This toy takes four C batteries, which for this promotion came with. The quality of the puppy is great. A very solid toy. Also, pretty realistic for a toy puppy. The fur is super soft and great for cuddling with a young girl. The puppy comes with a collar and a leash (which is non-removable), this is the device for walking with the puppy. On the end of the leash there is the handle with the button for walking the puppy. You push the button and the puppy walks/barks/talks (of course in puppy language). On the top of the puppy's head there is a bow, which if it is tapped the puppy sits down. The instructions said that the puppy responds to voice commands, although not super clear with what commands it responds to. This puppy came with an optional application which can be downloaded to your phone or tablet. The application is free. This really optimizes the interaction that the child can have with the puppy via blue tooth. The puppy just has to sit close to the phone/tablet and they automatically bond. There are numerous games that you can play with the puppy with the application and the puppy with interact according to what is being done. Very cute and intuitive application. It does make a bit of an annoying sound of the &quot;talking&quot; between the puppy and application. This puppy has played with the girls for hours. I would recommend this toy hands down, except the price point is a bit high ($60.00).
