We have bought one with my grandson in April of 2012 and it only lasted until he was 8 months old we thought he used it to much but now believe your products are not made to last. This swing certainly should have lasted longer. Very disappointed in your swings. We can replace the batteries daily and the vibrating seat works only when it wants to. It will turn off and on while set to on. If I put the baby down while he's sleepy and it's vibrating, then it turns off and the baby wakes up. We like that the seat is removable from the swing, but with the vibrations not working as well it's almost not worth it. I have used the bouncer many times and the vibrations put my son out in a split second; however, son is currently 11 weeks weighing 13 lbs. and the glider can barely move with him on it, even on the highest setting. This item is supposed to be recommended for babies up to 30 lbs. I put it together as soon as I received it, and found it fairly simple to put together. I couldn't have done it with the instructions and the couple of tools it required, but following along with the instructions made it a breeze. The detachable chair comes out very easily, without need to push any buttons or anything. It's still was very sturdy when docked into the screen. The cushioning is also very comfy and my baby seems very comfortable. This is her first swing, and she took to it very well. The music features are awesome, although sometimes the down button for the volume has to be pressed a few times before it starts to quiet. Not a huge issue at all. I love that we have the option to use it plugged in, or with the batteries. We started off using it with the batteries, but now use it plugged in most of the time in order to preserve the battery. My daughter loves the bears that come with it as well, and the vibration setting. I love that I can take the bouncer out and can take it to any room. The two bears that hang down from the umbrella are nice but to switch it up I hooked some other toys to the rim of the umbrella. I like the wide range of speeds and the songs/sounds are a nice addition. I think it's the gliding motion, as well as the heartbeat sound setting that keep her happy and sleeping. Dad and I aren't crazy about the sound options, but they keep her asleep so we'll take 'em! We also really love the shoulder straps and high weight limit (30lbs) as she's 9 months and was too big to be safe in the swing we used to have. I have been on the lookout for a swing that will fit all the criteria I know I will need, and the Glider Elite Gliding Swing (Pierce, Infant) is exactly that. This swing has three incline positions so I know I don't have to worry about propping up burp clothes to keep my baby's head from rolling down or to the side, I will be able to find a position that works best for him as he grows. Baby fits securely in the center and is surrounded by super soft and adorable padding to keep him safe. Something that is always number one on my list with a newborn is a vibrating bouncer. If I need to change locations in my house, I can keep him close to me be detaching the bouncer and taking him with me wherever I need to go. The vibration of the bouncer always keeps my babies sleeping soundly, and this swing/bouncer includes two speeds. I also really love that the swing can be powered by battery or wall plug in. This makes it super easy if batteries run out and you find yourself in trouble and without power to the swing. With the option for the wall plug in, you never have to worry about that dreaded moment happening. The swing has 6 gliding speeds that allow for a more aggressive approach, or soft and soothing, depending on what baby needs in that moment. We love the nature sounds on the swing. The swing has 6 gliding speeds and while it took a little trial and error to find the right speed for him, the gliding motion is a lot more gentle than the traditional swing motion. Plus, the plug in option means he won't run out of batteries halfway through a nap. My favorite part is the ability to remove the vibrating bouncer and let him hang out next to me while I am at the computer or catching a quick shower! Since he already loves the seat, the transition is super easy and he can stay where I can see him. It did take me a few minutes longer to put together than I expected but once I figured it out it took about half an hour. It all mostly just snaps together but it is still very sturdy and takes up very little room. Overall, I love this and highly recommend it. I haven't had this glider for a long time yet, but it is my favorite of the three so far. I love that it will plug into the wall. No more expensive batteries wearing out! The music is a lovely selection of classical songs, and I was very impressed with the sound quality. I like the gliding motions for several reasons. Babies love the gliding motion, and it ends up taking up less space than the traditional swing. And it is very quiet! My other swings were rather loud, so I was shocked when I turned it on a could barely hear any sound. I like how there is a bouncer built into the swing. One less piece of equipment sitting around! I can very easily have my baby in the swing in the living room and then move them into the kitchen in the bouncer if needed. It took me about an hour to assemble the glider, which didn't seem too bad. The instructions were fairly easy to follow. I am a little disappointed with the colors. I have 6 kids, and have learned that light colors and babies just don't mix. I'm worried that the seat cover is going to start looking dirty rather quickly. So light colors wouldn't be my first choice, but I do like the softness and plushiness of the fabric and paddings. The hanging toys are another confusion. When I attach the teddy bears to the velcro, the bears face to the front...which means the baby is staring at the teddy bears' bottoms. I just don't think baby is very interested in that. I wish it was turned around. I was also disappointed to find there isn't any way to fold or collapse the swing for storage. It's not very convenient to store it assembled between babies, but it would not be easy to take apart to store either. Overall, I think it is a nice product and love that it makes my baby happy.
