I have tried new batteries and even waited several weeks until she weighed a bit more to see if the added 3 lbs might make a difference. Sadly this swing is completely beyond use. My parents have a Graco 2 speed swing from 1996 that still runs like a champ after my baby sister and now 3 nieces and nephews have used it. I am so sad to see that these new models do not live up to the name. I thought I knew this brand and their quality. My daughter was in the swing while I was reading and all of a sudden its swinging itself as if someone was pushing it with all their force. It could have flipped over or she could have fell out. Why not make it slow down when the batteries are dying? This would be a lot safer.
