Control and find your kid if they move around. It has a pretty wide angle camera that can see a lot. We use it for the room with both our kids and we love being able to see both of them and move the camera around the whole room.
There are some features of the camera that we don’t use at all since we have a separate sound machine/light. If you travel, you can just bring this and use it as a sound machine and camera in 1! There’s a lot of different options you can use for sound and pretty much any custom color of light. Again, these aren’t super useful for us, but they work well.
It’s really easy to connect to your phone. You can record movement and even set the threshold to low med or high movement before recording. You can also do this with sound. It’s fun to capture some movements we wouldn’t normally see.
I highly recommend this. It’s not a cheaply made product. It works well and has a lot of nice features. We’ve avoided nicer cameras in the past, but I’d say some of the extra features are incredibly useful!</span>

I am so impressed with this monitor! You get a sense of the quality even as you are unwrapping it and setting it up. It feels solid, the display is nice and big, it has step-by-step instructions the monitor plays for you as you set it up and even has a little tutorial video built in. Set up was super easy, seamless and quick. The monitor came pre-paired with the camera off WiFi which was a nice touch and setting it up with WiFi took just a minute or two.
I love how intuitive the buttons and app are. It is easy to use and navigate.
I have had monitors before that play a tune or two, but this one doubles as a sound machine with not only melodies but also white noise, shushing, water and more. (Which is awesome for travel as I don’t need to pack a separate sound machine.) I also love that you can customize the color display of the nightlight and set it (along with the sounds) on a timer.
There are just so many cool little features. The motion and noise alerts that you can turn on seem to be pretty accurate. I love that it not only displays temperature but also humidity which is nice when you are battling colds and congestion.
The display is pretty crisp and seems to work pretty well in night mode. It has a huge range of motion, and I love that it offers a variety of zoom options.
Overall, there really isn’t anything bad I can say about it at this time. I’m hoping it remains awesome as its longevity is tested. LeapFrog really did do an awesome job with not only the monitor but also the app.
(As an aside, the app is even super cool and useful. It has a fun little milestone checklist included that I have found useful and informative. They truly thought of everything.)</span>

The ability to pan the area allows you to see so much. The camera is not bulky , design is very modern. Two way talk back feature is very helpful to comfort your child from any room. Excellent mobile app, the cameras color vision is great. Kickstand is a bit unstable but over all this camera is the one to buy!</span>

The screen offers a great display that is very large and the color night vision capability is very cool! The camera quality is very clear ad high definition. The video monitor it comes with is an amazing touch to this kit and i can have a piece of mind when i am away from newborn. I can even monitor my baby on the app and see them when i am not home. I never knew a baby camera can do so much. I can also listen in as well. I highly recommend this camera if you are looking for a baby monitor!</span>

<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a beautiful baby monitor. I babysit my 6 month old niece five days out of the week. This monitor keeps me and her mother at peace. Clear picture. I love that we can see her but more that we can hear and talk to her. The movement and the way the camera tilts is pretty awesome. Night vision and it’s different light setting is so cool. All the features are easy to learn and are amazing. My sister loves that when I’m babysitting she can see and talk to my niece when she’s at work. A plus is I also monitor my pup when I’m at work. It’s not bulky and it’s quite calming. I like the widescreen so I can get a good view of her crib and entire room. I love it and definitely recommend.</span>

The baby monitor needs to be plugged into the adapter to operate and the parent unit needs to be plugged into the adapter to charge. The parent unit is cordless.

All Baby Monitory camera's are A/C wall adapter powered 100% of the time. Only the Parent units have the rechargeable batteries. This is to allow you to roam with the Parent unit, as the camera is fixed in 1 spot and does not roam. Also, the Camera is on and monitoring all the time, while the Parent unit can be set to Sound Activation mode while on battery power, conserving battery life.

Yes, all our WiFi monitors are in fact Dual Mode. They ship in the box with WiFi Dissabled, and will work only on a closed loop 2.4GHz Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) between the Parent LCD and the Camera. You have to Enable WiFi manually on the Parent unit via the menu, and then set-up the online account with your unique password by downloading the free MyVtech App from the App Store before WiFi will work. After setting up WiFi, you can toggle it On/Off at will from the Parent unit, so you decide when you want the App users who are accessing via the Internet on their smart devices (phone tablet, etc) to be able to see the stream, or when it's Dissabled for them.
