Super cute idea with the little tank and such just not very practical in my opinion. I think if they'd turn this more into a TUB toy vs the tank it would be more of a 5 star. My girls and 2 yr old son made a HUGE mess with the water. There is no top to it so they couldn't constantly put hands in the water. Just all around NOT a practical idea. But mama got smart and put it in the tub for bath time. But it's definitely dead already. The fish swims as if its real, it glides along the water and occasionally will go under. We have used it predominately in the bathtub, but its made some appearances in our pool is well. My kids love how realistic it is and that theres no effort involved. My youngest is obsessed with feeding the fish. It comes with a little bottle that almost looks like lipstick and has what I assume is a magnet, which the fish will be drawn to and then latch on like its actually eating. So far we have not had any issues with the batteries with any of the 3 that we own. I hope these last a while because this really helped my daughter enjoy the bath. It came well packaged; prominently displaying the colorful &quot;Unicorn Fish&quot;. The fish is packaged inside a plastic clamshell that when placed in the tank will fill with water activating the fish who swims out. The playset also includes a couple of plants to decorate the tank. Overall, my daughter loves playing with the Unicorn Fish, but a couple of potential warnings for parents: The fishbowl has a loose lid and messes *will* happen (keep a towel handy). The fishbowl also could be bigger to allow the fish to swim around. My kids are all taking showers now, but I imagine it would be a fun bathtime toy. Also, the fish will stop swimming before the fun ends, so be prepared to take the fish out, wipe off the sensor, and place it back into the water. My 7-year-old daughter can do this now on her own, but &quot;drips&quot; will happen so, again, keep the towel handy. All of these are minor gripes, and my daughter really does enjoy &quot;feeding&quot; the fish. I have a concern that over time water will leak into the battery compartment, but after 2 weeks of playing with the fish, this has yet to happen. I gave it to my five-year-old daughter whose fish had recently passed away. I didn&rsquo;t want the hassle of having another fish and lo and behold here came this product. Pros&bull; Great for people who don&rsquo;t want the hassle of cleaning a real fish tank. Wonderful addition for a child to play with. Can add more than one fish. The plants that come with the tank have holders to actually snap onto the tank so they don&rsquo;t float away. The child can&rsquo;t overfeed the fish because it&rsquo;s not a real fish. Overall neat cool toy. Cons&bull; doesn&rsquo;t come with a real lid only a cardboard lid which gets wet. Fish only swims for 10 minutes and then goes to in active mode and needs dried out. I wish they made a fish that would constantly swim. I&rsquo;d rather replace the batteries and it seem more realistic than depend on a child to get the fish out when it stops swimming and let it dry. I wish it had a real lead and that if the tank was a little bit bigger my daughter immediately wanted to add fish and it would&rsquo;ve been nice if it was a slightly bigger tank. The likeness of a real live fish, with a unicorn inspired color scheme and nil upkeep was a better reason to enjoy the LIL' DIPPERS PLAY SET UNICORNSEA. Once we unpackaged everything and fill the tank with water as soon as we put the fish inside the water, it started to move. One suggestion I would make is having some type of cover to protect the water from spilling over. Upon initial inspection of the packaging, we were a bit confused by the &quot;clam shell&quot; so we just opted to open it up ourselves and set the fish in the water. Once the fish was in the water, that's when the fun began! It floated and swam to the side to eat. My daughter loves having this set up in her room and I don't have to worry about keeping a real fish alive! She thinks it&rsquo;s so awesome. Gets to go through the motions of taking care of a fish without the added hastle. Fish is nice and colorful and moves on its own throughout the tank. Comes with some nice decorations and a feeder which allows its to be an interactive toy. Would only request that the tank come with a top to seal it. She loves the unicorn theme and loves that she now has a pet and I love that there is zero maintenance. It comes very well packed and is a very high quality toy. This isn't any old fish. It's a unicorn fish! Unicorns are a big deal in our home. Upon opening were very pleased with all the colors of the fish: purple, pink, blue and yellow. The fish comes in its own little habitat and is packaged in its own fish tank!! I LOVE that the fish tank is included and plastic! It's easy set up to fill the tank with water and your fish is swimming in no time. The unicorn fish also comes with its own feeder. My girls had so much fun setting it up and caring for their fish. Setup was very intuitive and simple. The colors are charming and the aquarium itself is a great size. I will say the aquarium doesn&rsquo;t have a lid so we keep a small towel next to it to dry up any drips from feeding or reactivating the fish to swim.
