My son just turned a year old and we are always on the hunt for suction plates. This NUK plate is nice and deep and has a cover for portability. I really love the cover because you can pack a lunch and let them eat it outside in a park or on the go. That was definitely my favorite feature. The grey is a perfect neutral color and the plate is smooth textured. The texture is nice in that it helps baby with the pincer grasp and picking up the food. It&rsquo;s not that shiny cheap material where things slide all over the plate. The plate and cover is easy to wash. The suction works if the child doesn&rsquo;t move the plate too much while eating. It definitely sticks better to a granite countertop or a dining table than to my son's highchair top. We have the high chair that you can pull up to the table so we use it often. However, if we slide the high chair tray. On it doesn't stick to that surface. I'm not sure why it doest stick very well to plastic. I like that it has a lid where I can pack food to go easier. The 3 sections makes it easy to have hot or cold items on the plate without it touching each other. Overall great plate and I like the neutral gray color as well. First of all, we travel a lot as a family and are always on-the-go with our 3 kids. We do a lot of lake and beach days, so I love using this feeding accessory for my little one because of the great lid feature! I am able pack my little one&rsquo;s lunch or snack in this, snap the lid in place and slide it sideways into our cooler or beach bag without making a mess. The lid stays in place securely. It is also thin enough to easily pack away. I love the smooth feel and sleek look of the plate. It is also great to have a dividing plate that is easy to travel with so that every component of the meal is consolidated into one feeding accessory, which means less hassle and easier clean up! It washes really well and is dishwasher safe, which is a must in our busy family! The suction feature of this plate was disappointing for me as it didn&rsquo;t seem to consistently work well. It would temporarily stick on a plastic highchair tray or ceramic table, but not long enough to be effective. My little one is pretty strong! It suctioned best to our countertop, but this obviously limits its versatility. The lid stays on great and keeps the food separate in its compartments. The only thing I would change about this product is the suction. My little guy was able to pull the plate off and move it around. If there is the slightest bump or unevenness the bowl does not stick. So on tables or older highchair trays with scratched or bumps, the bowl did not suction fully to the dish. The gray color was great! I love the compact size of this plate, and the snap-on lid: fill it up, seal it, toss in a bag or cooler, and off we go. I really like the neutral color (mine is gray) and matte finish, too. It blends well with any decor and doesn't look out of place at a more &quot;adult&quot; table or nice restaurant. The suction bottom is innovative and I love the idea. In practice it doesn't stick quite as well as I'd hoped, so I took off one star for that reason, but it's still a helpful feature when it works. (It does stick better to a damp surface so wiping the table first is a good idea.) Overall I'd definitely recommend it. The Nuk suction plate and lid that u received to test through the Stellar Product Testing Panel seemed at first blush to be a strong solution to our problems. The plate is solid and attractive, with nice high walls between the separate compartments. It stuck well to our kitchen counters as I prepared dinner. Unfortunately, the suction did not work at all on our plastic high chair, so food was in my toddler&rsquo;s lap within a moment of the plate being set down. If you have a child who eats at a quartz countertop, this is the plate for you. I imagine the lid is really helpful if there are leftovers that don&rsquo;t end up on the floor or on a baby. If you pull really hard, the plate will come off the tray, but if it's bumped it will stay put! The cover snaps on tight and you can see through it to know what or how much is inside. The only con I have found is it is a little thicker than normal plates, so takes up more space in a cabinet. It sticks to any flat surface. I tried it on my wood cabinets just to see if it would stick to a surface with wood grain, and it does. My kiddo was able to eat from it well, and without pulling it off the table. It's a nice sleek design and the lid was great for storing left overs without spillage (no leakage with chili or spaghetti sauce when I shook it and held it on its side). My only complaint is the chili and spaghetti stained the plate and lid that wonderful orange color all plastic seems to pick up when exposed to tomato. Otherwise, I really loved this plate (and it being dishwasher safe). I like the angled sides the most as it makes for easy access to the bite size pieces for my kiddos little fingers. And just like the rest of their products that I&rsquo;ve tried, the NUK Suction Plate and Lid is great! I primarily used it for my 2.5 year old who has a habit of walking away from the table with her plate. But with the suction she was not getting far with this one! We also used it outside for a picnic and the lid made it easy to transport our lunch outside. Between the awesome suction and the lid I&rsquo;m ready to add more to my collection of kid plates. What&rsquo;s really funny too is that the color of the plate SPOT ON matches my ceramic dinner plates. I've found that kids feeding gear is usually BRIGHT, which is fun and nice and generally I don't mind. But it's great to have a muted option and I like that when I have company over now the plate matches the rest of my set. Some of things I like are the sections to keep things separate when my toddler doesn&rsquo;t want his food to mix, the plate is sturdy, and easy to clean. I really appreciate the lid for leftovers that go back into the fridge- so much easier to use the lid over cling wrap or tin foil! The lid is my favorite feature of this plate. I am disappointed in the suction feature because it did not stick to my son&rsquo;s high chair. I think the issue is with my high chair rather than plate as the the tray is textured and doesn&rsquo;t hold suction. I&rsquo;ve had the same issue with other brand suction plates but was hoping this would be different. The suction feature did work well on other smooth surfaces, so as long as you don&rsquo;t have a textured tray you shouldn&rsquo;t have an issue.
