These nipples seemed to satisfy my picky little girl. She didn&rsquo;t balk at the texture or shape and immediately drank her bottle in a quick fashion. I assumed she&rsquo;d suffer some sort of distress with how quickly she drank her bottle (hello gas!!) but these nipples did not let her suck in a lot of air. Honestly I&rsquo;m pretty impressed, that my little girl was so quickly satisfied and did not suffer the usual gas bubbles she&rsquo;s gotten from other brand nipples. I appreciate the shape of this nipple and that Avent is trying to help us breastfeeding mommas not suffer from nipple confusion. While my daughter certainly knows the difference and still protests when given a bottle, once she latched she was happy enough to keep eating and I was able to not worry about whether she&rsquo;d eat while I was gone. I found it easy to assemble/clean and I really enjoy the wide opening on the bottle as it makes it easier to add formula or liquids. It was the only brand of bottles I used with my first son, so I was excited when weeSpring Parent Panel gave me the opportunity to try the newer version with my second son. He is exclusively breastfed and has struggled taking bottles. We have tried a ton of bottles with no luck. Unfortunately, he didn't take this bottle/nipple. However, I was impressed with the bottle and nipple- I find most nipples easily collapse and this one did not. I wish it worked for us and will continue trying, as it has been a struggle getting him to take any bottle. My baby never had an issue with being colicky, so I can&rsquo;t judge as to if it would help prevent colic. There is venting on the bottle nipple near the edge where the plastic ring is located. The venting is very small in comparison to others, but I think a bigger plastic piece is easier to tear. I think the spot works well because it is not in the way. The lids to the bottle stay on well, but have an indentation that when pressed allows for the lid to come off easily. It works so well I was able to do it one handed and I do have difficulty sometimes due to joint pain. The bottle holds 11 oz which is a good amount if you need it. I don&rsquo;t use formula, but I would imagine you could preload the formula and then have plenty of room to add the water and shake to mix. I think my favorite feature is the case that hold the nipples. I haven&rsquo;t seen this feature on other bottles, so I end up buying a storage container or use plastic baggies. The bottle circumference is also a nice size as it fits easily in your hand. She is 11 months and the flow rate of the nipple was perfect for her and she was actually finishing her milk and we have had to increase the amount of milk as well! As a mom who had to go through four to five different nipples when we started bottle training, I was excited to give this one a try. I like the petal and ridge design which helps to prevent nipple collapse since that was a problem we had with a number of the nipples we tried previously. So far, we haven't had any problems with this one. Additionally, the shape of the nipple is very natural looking and we did not notice any nipple confusion or resistance to the bottle with our ten month old. The nipple is soft, flexible, and odorless. It is also easy to assemble and clean which any mama (or dad, caregiver, etc) can appreciate. The only downside is that our baby tends to be an aggressive feeder and the fast flow might be a little too fast for her. I also love the size of these bottles. With my daughter being older the larger capacity means I don't have to refill the bottle as often. The curved middle part of the bottle is a great design feature. It makes the bottle easier for my daughter to grip. The only complaint I have is we had the nipple for 6+ and if she turned the bottle upside down the flow allowed for quite a bit to leak from the bottle. My 10 month old baby is exclusively breast fed but takes a bottle from time to time when he&rsquo;s not with me. We&rsquo;ve used several different brands and he isn&rsquo;t really a fan. I was a little worried about these when we received them. PROS: The nipples are shaped like a natural breast and they are VERY easy to assemble and clean. This makes washing, drying and preparing bottles a breeze and a huge timesaver. CONS: my baby kept spitting it out and just couldn&rsquo;t find a good latch with these. But, I really feel like that his own personal preference, as he just doesn&rsquo;t like bottles! I feel like these nipples are wonderfully designed and I would recommend them to other moms. My first impressions were that the bottle nipples are shaped similar to a breast, making it an easy transition for breastfed babies, and there are few parts, making it easy to assemble/disassembled and clean. My son just turned one year old and has never been a fan of bottles, he has been breastfed and we were hoping to find a bottle he liked to start him on whole milk. He seems to be taking to these ones pretty well, as opposed to other brands that we&rsquo;ve tried before. I believe it&rsquo;s due to the shape and feel of the nipple. He also has no problem holding the bottle himself. The flow is great as well for his age. I&rsquo;m happy because we have a winner and they are super easy to clean with a regular bottle brush. Since he has one bottle and nipple type he&rsquo;s used to, when I received the Philips Avent Fast Flow Nipple and bottle from the weeSpring Parent Panel we weren&rsquo;t sure how he would take to a different bottle, nipple, and flow rate. Well, we certainly had no reason to worry, and now we have a new set of bottles we can alternate in the rotation! Pros: The bottles and nipples were easy to clean and dry, bottle has a wide enough opening to pour expressed milk into, and baby could easily hold the full-size bottle and feed himself with no problem. The first time we put one down for him he grabbed for it, picked it up, and started sucking away with no hesitation at all. He&rsquo;s a pretty strong sucker, so he was getting a LOT of milk at once but had no problems with gagging or choking and he it down at a pace he was happy with. Reflux isn&rsquo;t such an issue for him anymore, but we didn&rsquo;t notice any reflux, gas, or tummy-upset after feeding from these bottles/nipples &ndash; I can&rsquo;t say they helped but they certainly didn&rsquo;t create any problems for us. Cons: the flow rate is pretty fast. This was fine for our little guy at 10 months old, but I&rsquo;m not sure he would have been able to handle so much, so fast, at 6 months old without choking a bit. Second, although the opening is wide, it&rsquo;s way easier to pour thawed milk into our other bottles; formula would probably be fine, but the milk bags can get a little tricky with a hungry baby on-hand. Also (and this is a minor gripe) as he lifted the bottle up to drink from it and put it down, milk kept spraying into his face &ndash; I&rsquo;m guessing because of the bigger holes &ndash; and it dripped a bit if he turned the bottle upside-down and sprayed when dropped on the floor. He obviously didn&rsquo;t mind, but I wasn&rsquo;t crazy about the milk mess since our other bottles are pretty impervious to being flung around while he self-feeds. In general, I will definitely keep using these bottles and nipples and will happily send them into the daycare rotation, especially because I don&rsquo;t have to clean up any possible milk-spray mess! My little guy struggled with latching during breast feeding due to a small mouth. The Avent Natural Fast Flow Nipples resemble the shape of the breast, making this nipple a little larger than other nipples on the market. My son struggled somewhat adjusting to the Avent Nipple. He appears to do better with the smaller brands. However, the smaller nipples tend to collapse during feedings. I often have to disrupt feeding in order to allow the nipple to return to it's original shape. The Avent Nipple did not collapse allowing for my son to finish the bottle without interruption. The nipples we received for review were a number 4 flow. While my son can guzzle down a bottle, the number 4 flow was a little too fast for him. He was unable to keep up with the flow of the nipple and formula tended to escape out of the sides of his mouth. The nipples themselves are easy to assemble into their base, with little pop through. The matching bottles have a wide base and opening. This is a feature I really appreciate. With each of my children we tried out about every different brand there is. And each time we always ended up sticking with the Philips Avent bottles. (You'd think we'd learn right?!) So, when I got selected by the Weespring Parent Panel to try out the new Philips Avent Bottle with the Natural Fast Flow Nipple I was so excited! I have always loved the Avent bottles, but I absolutely LOVE these new ones! The new shape of the bottle is so easy for my little ones to hold (and with twins that is a huge help!), and they had no issues taking the new nipple at all! They are easy to take apart and clean and we haven't had a problem with them leaking at all. Luckily we've never had an issue with colic, but it has seemed to help with gas issues for them. The only downfall about these new nipples is that they do have a fast flow, which causes them to drink too fast and choke a little bit sometimes. But I know part of that is because they are still so little and are still adjusting to the faster flow, because it seems to be getting a little better as they get more used to it. I found that this bottle is really similar to the breast, and think it's especially genius that there are several tiny nipple holes for the milk to come out of, rather than the usual single hole. This seems so smart and innovative! The only down side is that for my baby, the flow still seems a bit too fast, so we may choose to go down to a slower flow nipple for another few months. He's also not drinking more than 6 oz at a time yet so the 11 oz size isn't quite necessary yet, but good to know he can grow into it.
