Do not underestimate the strength of the adhesive on these locks. My husband stuck it on and it was just a tad crooked... when he tried to readjust it, he realized the lock was stuck. We couldn't take it off easily at all, so we left it. Thankfully, the lock was just barely crooked... nothing noticeable and you can't even see it from the outside anyway once the cabinets are closed. These are great for keeping your kitchen and bathrooms looking clean, neat, and tidy without the looks of obvious childproofing, not to mention these work and does the job amazingly. These magnetic locks are genius. We used sliding locks prior to these, and they were very challenging to open. Plus, we always had to explain how to unlock them when friends or family came over. One of the greatest features of these locks is that you can turn them on and off as you like. Additionally, they`re hidden inside our cabinets, so it makes our space much more aesthetically pleasing. The instructions were easy to follow, and the installation template made the process simple. The only complaint I have is that the set only comes with one magnetic `key.` In other words, if you lose it, you`re in trouble. Our children have a knack for making things disappear, so we have to pay close attention and make sure we return the key to our hiding place promptly. Keep the magnetic key close by so its not a hassle when you need to get into certain areas. Installation is a breeze, it gives a yellow tab that helps align everything so it locks properly. I used to adhesive bad no screws, the tape holds great. These locks prove to be pretty handy. We are not much for locks on anything in our house with our children because it seemed to be a pain each time you wanted to open a cabinet or a drawer. Even though you have to get a key with these ones it is much simpler and fingers do not get smashed trying to open something that should not be opened. The product is of good quality, but did prove a little more difficult to install and these locks did not fit on all of our cabinets and doors due to their size. BUT you can have them lock or keep them unlocked which is great for when your child doesn`t need the safety feature anymore. They were packaged well and easy to get in and out. They did include directions which were helpful, but as mentioned before the size is what proved to be more difficult. I would buy these for sure and recommend to a friend or family member. I think that the key to lock ratio is perfect for places such as a kitchen because you don't need that many keys but have cabinets everywhere. I previously volunteered in a nursery that had magnetic cabinet locks and they were such a lifesaver! However, I was not interested in putting lifelong holes in our brand new cabinets so I was super excited to receive a strong adhesive version. Install was quick and simple without any special tools or know how. It`s nice to not have to jump up every time she gets close to the cabinets and she can safely use the handles to stand and cruise. We are careful to return the key to the same spot every time so it doesn`t run off and it`s simple enough for our kindergartener to use if she needs to get something. If you`re worried about guests not being able to use it you can simply disable the lock. I think if it withstands the test of time I would keep them on past my children being toddlers to use if a friend brings over a little one as well. The price is a little steep if you have a lot of cabinets but may be worth it if you have a really curious little one. Quality wise - it`s a well made product and will ward off any future invaders. I just received magnetic locks from safety 1st for cabinets. It was a pack of four locks and one magnetic key. Super easy to put on. It took me less than 10 minutes. And work like a charm. It doesn`t unlock without the magnetic key that you can just stick right on your fridge so you don`t lose it. It seriously only works with that magnet. You can`t use like a regular fridge magnet so don`t lose it. Put it really high and always put it back when you`re done because asoms we are super scatterbrained and I already lost mine. Although it says easy install no tools required. I tried it without tools and the adhesive came right off. You definitely need to use the screws that come with it. I`d say 5 out of 5 stars.i mean as long as you don`t lose the key and you have a drill. These were certainly the easiest to install. I liked that I didn`t have to drill into the cabinets to install the locks, like some other magnetic locks require. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I prefer the magnetic locks to those that require you to push a button and pull the locks apart. The magnets easily open and you can`t see the locks from the outside, which keeps my cabinets looking clean. But when I purchased this box only 2 out of the 4 locks are functioning. The gray tab on the other two doesn't come up so they can't be locked. I've already installed all of them so the only way to fix this would be if I were sent two lock replacements.
