It works with the Smartpoint play set and it has a car scanner that works along with the play set. It comes with 2 AAA batteries but it is recommended to change them once you open the package. It is recommended for 1 1/2 years old and older. It is easy to use for all ages. They have other cars to collect also. The Vtech go go smart wheel car has hours of fun with pretend play. It is kid and parent approved.</span>
