I felt like the suction could have been a bit stronger especially when wrestling a sick toddler to suction their nose. It is always hard to use any products if your kiddo fights you but being a lot different at first he was curious. It has 2 settings and when it's turned on its very quiet. You could use this on your child while they are asleep. My kids will never let me touch their nose, so this is a good option. I let my boy hold it himself and he let's it work. They hate wiping there nose, because of how sore their nose gets. It works great at getting mucus out as well as being quite gentle. It is also fairly quite and compact. We also have no problem taking it apart to clean. It was really easy to operate and easy to clean. I used it on my eight month old granddaughter and apparently it doesn&rsquo;t hurt because she hardly moved. When i showed my sister this it blew her away because its so much nicer and the baby seems more comfortable with this than the bulb!
