He got it a few months ago for Christmas. At first he just liked ringing the bell. Then he started picking up the ball and putting it on the track. Now he can use the little lever. The quality is great. It seems like someone wanted to put a new spin on a classic ball rolling toy and they should have left it alone. This toy is passive&mdash;all the user does is hit a lever and watch the ball. And he can&rsquo;t even see it land since the ball disappears. My grandson thought he should be able to pick up the ball and drop it into a launching place, but no, since there&rsquo;s no place to actually play with the ball. He was far more interested in the dangling bell than anything else. First, I love that it's made of FSC certified wood, the colors are fun for little ones, and the toy itself is well made. Toddlers use the wooden ball to figure out little surprises-like the seesaw that pops the ball up the slide, then the ball slides down again. There's also a bell to ding. This is a great toy for a 1st birthday--I will be gifting it to my one year old niece! Perfect toy to help promote logic skills, fine motor skills, and social skills. It is very sturdy, the wood is strong and it&rsquo;s so colorful. My granddaughter is a little over a year old and she had a blast playing with it. It was very easy for her to maneuver and the perfect size for her hands! Her brother who is almost five wanted to play with it too! The colors are bright, the size is perfect for storage and it kept her engaged for a good 20 minutes. The only thing i could say is that I wish it had 2 balls! Balls are easily lost! I love this toy as does my kiddo. Our little guy is loving this treehouse so much. He is enamored with the vibrant colors. They keep his attention. That is not always an easy task. The construction on this toy is wonderful. It is wooden and very sturdy. It seems to be able to withstand even the toughest little ones. Controlling the ball, helps tremendously, with our little guy's gross motor skills. His hand eye coordination is at work with this one. We had a different style of ball roll toy for some of my older kids, and I think I prefer this style. First of all, there is only one ball to keep track of. The ball run is designed so that the ball never has to leave the track, so it's not going to roll out of the run, across the floor and under the couch. The toy is not terribly loud, there's a gentle &quot;ding&quot; when the ball hits the bell, then the ball bumps down the track and quietly lands on the lever. The loudest sound is when the lever clacks down to lift the ball back to the top of the run. I also like the painting/decoration. The colors are natural looking, and it's all simple but still detailed. My baby likes that she can carry the treehouse around. It is colorful but not garish. Just enough color to draw the attention of the child using it. It also is adorned with some beautiful animal art on it sure to make your child smile. With the push of the blue lever, the ball rises to the top of the slide, rings a bell and rolls down hitting a few bumps as it goes. You never have to go chasing for the ball. It ends up at the bottom of the slide waiting for your child to do it all over again (which they definitely will). The ball is also the perfect size. Small enough for a young child to hold but too big to put in their mouth. This is what Fisher-Price excels at. My 9 month old squealed with delight and started reaching for it as soon as I opened the box. He immediately started playing with the lever on it and trying to ring the clapper-less bell. The way that the toy works is the ball sits inside on the lever. When the lever is pressed the ball rises and strikes the bell at the top, then it descends down a ramp to the lever. This is a lot of fun for my little guy. He&rsquo;s working on pressing the lever, which sticks a bit, so that can be a little frustrating for him. But over all the toy works well. It&rsquo;s durable, which is important with little ones. The paint apps and deco on the treehouse itself are bright and stimulating, and the ball is painted a cheerful red.
