I love that you can add essential oils and the reservoir is decent for the size. The support from Frida is absolutely amazing. Well I disconnected it and the hole where the wire connects was green and black with what I assume is mold and burnt. And the wire itself was black and melting. We used filtered water only and emptied the water well religiously. I was disappointed that we needed to also empty the base, but it was a minor problem. We would let the parts dry during the day before using the humidifier over night. After using the humidifier for just 2 weeks the plug became increasingly difficult to pull in and out and last night stopped working. Looking at the plug and the socket I found that both had become corroded. I don't know why/how a device that is made to create humidity would have a plug and a socket prone to corrosion. Our son came home from the NICU, and we were hopeful that would be able to help with keeping the air moist for his lungs. Unfortunately, after 5 uses there is MOLD growing in the water container. We, obviously, are no longer using this humidifier. We used the distilled water, as advised, and still it was met with mold. I even tried running the container through the dishwasher hoping it would remove the mold, but was unsuccessful. After doing some research I noticed this is a reoccurring problem. Usually the Frida items are amazing, and overall this IS, but a baby item harboring mold was a major FLOP.
