I had a bad tear and severe hemroids. I'm not sure anything completely helped with either or could have. This was my third tear. I didn't get a cooling sensation, I got a warm feeling which wasn't horrible just a weird feeling. I definitely could tell a difference but it didn't last long. I wouldn't repurchase this myself but I could see how some women might like an alternative to the expensive pads or liquid.
