Its very safe compared to the two babymode playards that have a space between the playard mattress and the playard on all sides. The graco playard fits snuggly and my babys pacifier and toys and little arms cant fit there. Its also sturdy mesh that doesnt stretch. The other playards mesh can be stretched far when my baby pushes on it and i thought it would tear. Gracos quality is very noticable. I would of got the basinet ones also but my baby out grew them. We love our graco stroller and graco crib.
