It is advertised as organic cotton cover and &quot;soybean foam&quot; interior. After purchasing I examined the mattress and discovered the manufacturing tags say the cover is only 28% organic cotton, the rest of the cover is 82% polyester. The tag says the foam component is made from polyurethane, not soybean foam. There was also a distinct chemical smell when I opened the mattress case. I called the company Kidicomfort, which is based in Quebec, to clarify the ingredients of the foam (polyurethane or soybean) and they claim it is soybean but the manufacturing tag on the mattress which I have in front of me says polyurethane. They were not able to give me any convincing info on which kind of foam it is exactly or even what percentage of soybean or polyurethane, if it is a mixture of both. Very confusing and potentially deceiving to parents who don't do their research. This is called &quot;greenwashing&quot;. When a manufacturer uses a small amount of organic or natural sounding materials but the majority of the product is not organic at all.
