This cream worked instantly upon application. It is very thick and oily but I guess that&rsquo;s what it takes to get the job done. I have used this a few times on my lips as well when they have been very dry/chapped. This cream could definitely serve as multi purpose hydration rather than for just nipples. I do wish it was a little less thick. Some moms get several tubes as we have the smaller ones of course. Others just get 1-2 as a just in case when they go home. Moms are always happy to have it as a back up and those who need it during their hospital stay are happy we are able to provide them with it.
