I&rsquo;m a first time mom and I&rsquo;m using this with a newborn who was born at 7lb 1 oz and is now around 10 lbs at 6 weeks. It&rsquo;s a mixed review for me, and I see it&rsquo;s on final sale so perhaps it&rsquo;s a discontinued item anyway. For reference, I&rsquo;m 5&rsquo;3&rdquo; and small/average build. Positives: Nice fabric and appearance. Structurally solid and well made. As long as you have the infant pillow, it is suitable for a newborn. Negatives: On that note, I am not a fan of the infant pillow insert. It feels like an afterthought. There&rsquo;s a small fabric flap that you shove down between your belly and the waist strap, and it kind of holds the pillow in place but not really. It will flip forward and you&rsquo;ll need to adjust it under your baby&rsquo;s butt to make sure it&rsquo;s centered. Also, it&rsquo;s all polyester, which is a disappointment considering I purchased the carrier largely because of the natural materials it&rsquo;s made of. It feels very strappy to put on, there&rsquo;s a lot going on. By the time I&rsquo;ve gotten my baby sitting on the pillow and positioned decently, the entire carrier has dropped to the floor. I have to shimmy it awkwardly up my body to get the shoulder straps up, and it always gets snagged coming over my butt which is super annoying and makes everything more difficult. The shoulder straps don&rsquo;t lay totally flat once you&rsquo;ve cinched the straps on the side and it doesn&rsquo;t feel like they&rsquo;re taking as much of the weight as they should. It feels like most of the weight is on the waist strap, which creates a lot of downward pressure on my belly and lower back now that he&rsquo;s getting heavier. Maybe this is not an issue for taller individuals. The shoulder straps are not adjustable either - the only point of adjustment is the two side straps. Baby&rsquo;s head can flop around if you&rsquo;re not careful, since it really only tightens around the center/his torso. Baby also always slumps to one side, like he&rsquo;s not properly supported, or maybe it&rsquo;s the pillow moving under him. I try to adjust things tighter, but then it&rsquo;s too tight and he fusses. Looser and it sags lower and pulls more on my back. Not sure if the slump is normal for any carrier or something with the design. Also, it isn&rsquo;t obvious how to attach the sun shield. There are snaps, but they don&rsquo;t match up. I have found it to also be quite warm while walking in 75-85 degree F heat. All in all, I think this carrier is maybe better suited for older babies, not newborns, and not for immediate postpartum bodies/bellies still healing. However, it says it will fit up to XL - but not really. I'm a 16/18 pant size and I can barely wrap it around to the front to tie. They should either do their normal buckle bottom (like the 6 in 1) or have two different sizes for this carrier, so that the bottom tie is longer. If I tie it in the back, it's not as tight and I have a giant tail. It would be really easy to accommodate for those with wider bottoms. Also, even though I'm using the pillow insert for my 6 week old (who is almost 11 pounds) the carrier comes well past his head. It is extremely long. I try to fold down the top portion a little but it doesn't help much. They should put a snap for the top part, so that we can fold it down for smaller babies. My infant isn't that short either (90 % for height) and it's very big on him still. The straps aren't that adjustable and dig into your neck. And I don't love that I have to completely loosen and tightening the two adjustments every time I want to put it on. That could have been thought out better. PROs: it is very lightweight and quick to put on. I'm keeping it still because I want to see how it'll do with my son as he's more in the 4-6 month range, and can fill it out more. There's a lot of work that needs to be done on this idea as far as functionality. It's also very tricky to get the strap over my head. I love my other L&Iacute;LL&Eacute;baby is an Airflow and this one just doesn't match up to it. After having back surgery, I've become used to having the lumbar support. I was surprisingly shocked when I put the lille light on and how comfortable it was without the lumbar. I love the non bulky-ness of the waisteband and how airy the carrier is. This is my go car carrier now, as it folds up so small and takes up no room in the car!!
