Cons: They are hard to assemble and disassemble. It also would be nice if they were cheaper so having multiple sets is possible. As a labor and delivery nurse I knew I wanted a quality breast pump and Medela is a brand I knew I could count on. The addition of the Hands Free Collection cups to my pumping system was a game changer that I wish I had known about sooner. The Hands Free Collection Cups allowed for easier and more convenient pumping sessions. While I still couldn&rsquo;t go far from my pump, I was able to easily tend to and interact better with my little one. Before using the hands free system I found I would have to plan out my pumping sessions or make sure my husband was around to help as I really wasn&rsquo;t able to do much more than hold the pumps in place. The Hands Free Collection Cups were relatively easy to assemble. Sometimes it would take a bit of maneuvering to ensure it was fully clipped shut, however the lack of suction was always the first clue it wasn&rsquo;t clipped properly. Clean up was easy being a simple three piece system which is a bonus for any busy mom. My only complaint was it could be a bit messy transferring the expressed milk to a bottle as I always found I spilled a bit out of the collection chamber. I received these cups through a Stellar Product Testing Panel, and I haven&rsquo;t used my old pump parts since. I can actually play with my baby and pump at the same time now because there is nothing dangling for her to grab at, and I can cook and multitask while pumping as well. The cups are easy to use and take no extra time to clean, which I was worried about, but I found the whole process easy and efficient. I had previously used another type of pump that wasn't hands-free and will never go back now that I have two sets of collection cups. The cups are relatively comfortable and pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it. The best part is that they've very easy to clean. I have tried many different pumps and styles. Medela, a star in breast pumps, has made a game changer accessory now finally available in Canada. It is an accessory to existing pumps (the newer versions), which means still being able to have the option of using previous pumps. It still does require the pump however, which makes it less portable than true wearable pumps just entering the market here. The upside of this, which is a big one - is that these allow for the stronger pumping force that the true wearables do not. It also means no need for awkwardly attaching the pump through a small hole in uncomfortable pumping bras. Relatively easy to clean, easy to use, and does not involve learning a new system which is great for tired new moms. Would definitely recommend, but make clear that these are not true wearable so it makes a great in-between for getting things done on the go. They are a must have for any breastfeeding/pumping mama! I have an older toddler along with my new baby, and finding time to pump prior to having this hands-free option was near impossible. I received this breast pump accessory from the Stellar Product Testing Panel and could not be happier with the product. I allows me to pump while doing other tasks, like laundry, driving my older child to school or even just playing with my kiddos! The cups are incredibly easy to use and seemlessly attached to my personal Madela Flex pump. I loved that the yield of milk was comparable to a standard pump, as I have found that other brands of handsfree pumps do not allow you to have as successful of a pumping session. Most of all, cleaning the collection cups were a breeze. The very streamlined design is ingenious! These are a MUST HAVE! My first impression was that they were easy to assemble with little help from the instruction manual and comfy to wear. I found them difficult to view into the cups to see the milk flow or to see how full they were getting. I was able to continue on my evening without worry and with 2 hands to clean the kitchen before bed, while pumping! I wish there was a clearer measurement guide on the collection cups so I could see how much each breast was able to collect before pouring into the bags. It would also be very useful to have a spout to pour from so the milk doesn't spill so easily. I have the Medela Freestyle Hands Free Pump and I absolutely love it, it's fantastic for busy moms, but lets be honest, what mom isn't busy and we don't always have the sit down and be tied to a pump for however long multiple times a day. These collection cups make it so easy and simple from start to finish with only 3 easy parts to put together you don't waste time trying to figure out what bit goes where, comfortable and easy to position and use also. With some other pumps you need to use pumping bras to keep the flanges in place otherwise you don't get a good pump or leak all over the place. Not with the Medela collection cups, I have had them fit comfortably in a variety of bras (nursing, sports bra, regular pre-pregnancy bras). I highly recommend the collection cups and the freestyle pump if you're a busy mom who is always up and around the house or even travelling and doesn't want to sacrifice time or your milk supply.
