<span itemprop="description">I was given this baby proofing item to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. These came at the perfect timing too! My daughter is 15 months and starting to get into everything! Doors leading to our basement or our back door become a big concern for us. She started playing with the doorknobs and I knew we needed something ASAP to make sure that she was safe. When I received these knobs to try, they seemed sturdy and easy to use. Installation was very easy and quick! The decoy button was an interesting concept that I hadn't seen on other products of the same nature. What I loved most about this knob cover was how quickly I could use them and the fact that they actually worked. Now I feel comfortable knowing my basement and backdoor are protected from my daughter trying to make an accidental escape.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I was excited to try this product, my 18 month old is just tall enough to reach knobs, although he hasn't figured out how to open doors. I worry about him opening the basement stairs! I had a hard time putting these knob covers on the door, and it didn't really work well with the very round knobs we have... I struggled to open the door with the cover on and carry the laundry which was annoying. I think this is a really good invention it just didn't work out for my household.</span>

I tried other safety first knob covers with just the hole cutouts for your fingers and with having longer natural nails it hurt if I missed and hit the edge. These knob covers just have little silicon parts to pinch which is sooo much easier to grab. These covers are also extremely quiet when my toddler decides to spin them as aggressively as she can lol that can not be said for the other version of these by safety first. The decoy button my toddler doesn't even notice which is a really good thing cuz if she could flip it down she'd lock the door. If that day comes I'll probably just glue it shut. I will say I was unable to get the cover on the door, but my husband did it in about 4 seconds so clearly it was user error and nothing wrong with the actual product. I did receive two free as part of the stellar product testing panel, however I've already purchased additional ones for the rest of my house as they really are a great product.</span>

I will say tho they are a tad bit hard to open to install/uninstall them even after seeing the instructions on how to open. Pros : It is quite effective in deterring my child from accidentally locking herself with the door knob. Visually quite appealing (white) for my house colors. Not sure if they have other colors as well. Cons : Not easy to install as it was a twisted lock model and not easy to remove it so after my child grows up, I am not sure if I can uninstall it or break it! Ok for door knobs which is pressed in to lock but mine was a turn to lock and with the small opening, when I wanted to lock my door, it became difficult. Overall I would say it served its purpose and my child is safer at home with this door knob!</span>

Very thankful to have these knob covers now, which I received as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I was skeptical that they would outsmart my 5 year old, but they did! He pretty quickly realized that the button probably doesn't do anything, but he also cannot figure out how to open them. So that's a win while he fiddles and fails to secure his snack prize! My 1 year old is definitely intrigued by the button and likewise cannot get the door open. So another win! Installation was pretty simple, although I did break a nail trying to pry the pieces apart. So be careful and don't rush like I did (I was very excited!). I really like that these have a soft rubber part to grip the handle vs having to reach in a hole to grip the handle. That definitely sets these apart from others I have used in the past.</span>

They have soft rubber sides to pinch when turning the knob. The front face is flexible so you can push in a lock or remove the front cover if you have a twisting door lock. It took me a moment to align the snaps to install but was overall easy. It will be more difficult to remove the knob covers and I suppose that's the whole point.</span>

I have two little ones that are already at the height to be able to open the garage door on their own, so I was very excited to try out this safety product. These were very easy to install and only took about 5 minutes even with a toddler attacking me. The sides were easy to grip for me and still use while completely stumped a smart preschooler. The decoy button garnered a ton of interest from them as well. I really enjoyed the grippy sides as I was worried about not being open to use the door normally. The only thing was the fit on my knob was a little bit loose but it didn't impact the use of the product at all.</span>

They prevent my twins from getting into rooms that I don't want them to get in. They are super easy to install and seem to fit most traditional door knobs. My kids push the decoy button to try and get to the door knob. The installation was relatively easy, though separating the tabs to open the cover didn't go as smoothly as I'd have liked. They're very easy to open for the adults and my kids never figured it out, so the decoy button was great. I liked that there wasn't any extra step to opening the door and it could be done with one hand. I think this would be best for toddlers and younger preschoolers, as I do think some older kids would be able to figure it out. Overall I was pleased with the product!</span>

<span itemprop="description">I got these because they looked like they would stay on the door knob better than the other style (my child just takes the other ones off). I was VERY surprised that these fit so tightly on the door knobs that the knob twists with the cover even without the sides pressed. In fact it was so tight that once the door knob was turned, the latch stayed open. I will be returning these.</span>

<span itemprop="description">So I wasn't too sure on how well this door knob cover would stay on my door knob but after about a week of testing it out, I found that it had no issue staying on! It didn't really twist around or anything and my son seemed to be deterred from trying to grab the door knob anymore with it on after he realized he could no longer open the doors. Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby proofing item!</span>

<span itemprop="description">Received the Safety 1st Door Knob covers in the mail thanks to my awesome friends at Stellar Product Testing Panel. They came just in time! My toddler has been more adventurous lately and she is also too smart for her own good. The fake "button" on the front of the cover is an amazing decoy because she likes to just push it instead of trying to figure out how it actually works. This cover was super easy to install and I will be buying another pack so I can make sure our house is secure from our adventurous little one. I really love how they are thin and not super bulky like other brands I have seen at the store. The grip that turns the knob actually work and you do t have to stick your fingers through holes which is a win in my book!</span>

<span itemprop="name">Perfect for detouring little hands</span>
<span itemprop="description">I received the Safety 1st OutSmart Knob Covers thanks to the stellar product testing panel. I have a 2-year-old that recently discovered that he can open doors and this product was definitely needed to finish babyproofing. The knobs were easy to install, I do have another brand but preferred the way that these open. There are grippers on the outside that you can squeeze to turn the door handle- my favorite feature because it is easy to open the door like they aren't even there. The other ones that I have it is hard to get a good grip on the doorknob. There is a small decoy button that covers where the lock would be. This prevents little hands from reaching in and accidentally locking the door! The decoy button is soft so if it is pressed – no big deal! We did find that opening the decoy button area to lock the door was a little difficult for my husband since he has larger fingers. I have small hands so it was not a problem for me. Overall i would buy more knob covers if needed- they even look good and not bulky!</span>

<span itemprop="description">We have been using these for 4 months now and they work great. Our child figured out the ones with the holes in them, so we switched to these. The decoy button is a great idea. Would definitely recommend to anyone. the reason I put 4 stars is they are difficult to take off the door handle once it is not needed anymore.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I received this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. At first glance, these knob covers have all the features you would need to deter a tiny human from being able to open the door or end up with pinched fingers if they play with the cover. The sides where you squeeze to actually open the door are easy to identify and find. Since it comes closed in the packaging I was afraid I would break the latches getting it open to install, but it is actually pretty sturdy plastic. Unfortunately, these did not fit most of the door knobs in my house. I tried for a while to see if it was user error, but it comes down to the door knobs being a rounder shape than these covers will fit. There is one door in my house where these knobs did fit and the installation on those was very easy. You connect the two latches at the front by the false button and then it is a quick click together. With the sturdy plastic material and the ease of use these would likely have a long lifespan.</span>
