We struggled with the setup and wifi settings, which were advertised as very easy to use. Once we got the monitor up and running, it would often cut out from the wifi and close out the app during the night so we were not able to hear our baby cry. There is always a lag in the app when you open it, so I have to close out the app and re-open it if I want a current image. This lag caused us to think there was a man in our son's room one night (it was my husband, but from 4 hours before). I tried to return the monitor, but since we got it from our baby shower, we could not return due to the very specific requirements by Owlet. Overall, I would not ever buy products from this company again. However, I wish I would have read all the reviews on the internet regarding how these cameras are common to being hacked. After our little girl informed us that someone started talking to her, and she came running to my wife, it caused me to start researching. That is when I found numerous complaints that owlet can be hacked because of its lack of quality encryption or two way factor. I was so excited to buy this monitor and it has unbelievable let me down. I can never get it to connect and it&rsquo;s ridiculously hard to connect. I reconnect to WiFi it&rsquo;ll work for a couple hours max then stops again.
