<span itemprop="description">We received the Owlet Cam as a gift when our daughter was born along with a few different monitors. The Owlet Cam quickly became our favorite. The audio quality is far clearer than the others and the volume is easily controllable through the App. The visual quality is superb day and night with a full view of our baby and her surroundings. The setup of the camera was easy with step-by-step instructions on pairing the device with our wifi and smartphones. It also works while you are away from the house. We had to troubleshoot once after we lost power and Owlet's customer service was fabulous to work with. I highly recommend this monitor for a bit of peace of mind.

<span itemprop="description">When I was making my registry, I knew I wanted some kind of monitor for baby’s crib even though he would be sharing a room with us. I wanted something I could trust well enough to not have to constantly run into the room and check on baby out of anxiety. We got the Owlet camera and love that it gives sound, motion and temperature! It was after using the camera that we knew we also needed the sock. It was exactly what we needed and I highly recommend it fit any parent looking for some peace of mind so you can spend time enjoying your new baby!

The camera has a clear picture and sends me an alert when movement and sound is detected so I don’t have to constantly keep the app open. It also allows for sensitivity settings so you’re not getting notifications every time a car drives by. Only improvement I would like to see is a wireless option in addition to the cord, that allows you to move the camera around the house in instances where I leave her in my room or downstairs while I shower or cook. <span itemprop="description">We ran across one of these secondhand but unopened and jumped at the chance. We have had two other baby monitors, but find the Owlet to be the best of the bunch. The connection to Wi-Fi and ability to use with any phone is amazing. One time, our baby woke up from a nap too early after having a nightmare. I was out and about, and my wife didn't notice the alert on her phone, but I was able to shush her miles across town so she fell back asleep. There's freedom and flexibility with using this device, even while of course no child should be left alone for long stretches. Other times when we've had a baby sitter we are able to look in on her, just for assurance and peace.
A few items of concern. The company has been confusing about what's going on with their app, such that I am not sure if I can still use it with an iPhone when I get a new one. Second, and this may be our house, the connectivity is super unreliable. One time we were gone for a while and it just disconnected. We put our daughter down, thinking it was fine, but I had to sneak in, unplug it and wait for it to reset. Other times it does it randomly. Our router doesn't change locations, but the Owelet frequently says Good or Fair, but not with any regularity. This may be our walls, but I'd like better connectivity. Also, the cord bracket doesn't stick to the wall that well, and our daughter was able to rip it out. A better way to conceal and hide the cord would be great.</span>

I really liked the quality of the camera but ultimately decided to return it because I was uncomfortable having an electrical component on baby’s foot and didn’t like how I couldn’t play back video without the use of sd card and computer. The quality is great though.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I've had this camera now for almost two years. I never had any problems with using the sock and the camera together. My husband is in the military, and he loves being able to log in and say goodnight or check in on our daughter from wherever he is. The day and night time mode is very clear and it zooms in well enough to watch her chest rise and fall. It displays the temperature and the sock information when using both. Now, we only use the camera. I will say I have two reasons for giving it 4 stars: WiFi connectivity issues and the background audio feature. I've had several issues (maybe due to software updates) with the wifi disconnecting in the middle of the night, and I have to get out of bed to reconnect the camera (unplug, ready to pair, scan the code, etc). It's a pain and inconvenience but it doesn't happen every night. The other downside is the background audio feature. You can turn it on to play the audio 24/7 in the background but it eventually goes quiet and quits playing the audio. We bought monitors that plug in to the wall for this reason because we want to hear if she throws up etc. Overall, I would recommend 10/10 buying the sock for peace of mind (never had an issue!) and 8/10 for the camera just because of some software issues.

I love the feature of having the monitor on my phone and even peaking in on the babysitter if I’m not home. However, since the new app upgrade, my phone is having tons of glitches. The app will often shut off or start spinning its wheels. Then the sound will disappear. I hope they correct the bugs soon with the new app! It worked perfectly before.</span>

My husband decided to surprise me and came home with the camera one day a few months ago and I absolutely love it. The picture and sound quality are better than the two baby monitors I used before Owlet. The app is easy to download and connect to the camera and I really like the convenience of having the camera on my phone instead of having to carry around another monitor like I used to. <span itemprop="description">I bought 2 owlet cameras, one when I was pregnant and one after my son was born. I was getting up constantly worrying about him or when I was away at work or at the store now all I have to do is click on the app and there he is. It has been such a stress reliever and a life saver! I definitely am already looking Into getting the sock as well. These products are well worth the money. I reccomend to all moms and dads especially first time ones it definitely helps!

<span itemprop="description">Got this camera after talking to many friends who loved this product. Set up our camera in the nursery but also use it in our room while our child is still sleeping in her bassinet in our room. I love that I can see her from any room in the the house using my phone. Very easy to use and will likely purchase another camera to have in our house. I would highly recommend this product!!

<span itemprop="description">I was SO excited to put the owlet cam and sock on my registry! As a tech savvy person, I was sure I'd love having an app on my phone versus the standard baby monitor. I set it up as soon as we got it, and I've hated it ever since. The owlet is constantly offline, disconnected, loading, having to be reconnected, unplugged, app reinstalled, it's such a hassle. I bought a ring camera and put it right next to the owlet camera in the nursery on the same network and not once has it given me problems. I really really wanted to love the owlet and I have been SO disappointed with it and how unreliable it is.</span>
