<span itemprop="description">I purchased this gate after I had a little one that became mobile, and I wanted to keep her out of various rooms. Sadly, it ended up snapping at the wall joint after the little one spooked the dog, who crashed headfirst into it. I'd have given them a five, but the fact I cannot, for the life of me find a spare part, is highly distressing and I took 2 stars off as it seems like I have to buy an entirely new gate to get the part I need.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I've tried a few of these gates in the hopes of finding something easy and reasonably priced that suits my family. Both of these have failed miserably, just with very basic limited use. They locking mechanism sticks and causes the door to either be incredibly difficult to open or causes the door to not close at all. I hate this gate, do yourself a huge favor and buy a nicer one.</span>

<span itemprop="description">The get latch is almost impossible to open on 2 of the three gates we purchased. Safety 1st is giving us the run around with the warrantee. DO NOT PURCHASE! The gates were useful for less than a month. Been fighting with the manufacture for 6 weeks now and of course have had to purchase different gates because the 14 month old needs to be kept off the stairs.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I have been in search of a safe and nice looking gate for my newly renovated house. The easy install walk throu gate was what I needed to keep my toddler off the stairs. It was easy to install and is very secure. My husband and I find it seamlessly opens for us, but is very difficult for the kids to open it. One thing I wish I had the option to do was a no drill kit that hugged my banister. I really did not want to have to drill through the banister, but I really did not find any other option that was secure enough.</span>

<span itemprop="description">The extenders made it too wide to fit in the door space, and without them the screws were hardly long enough that any pressure at all would pull it right off the wall. With some extra tools I was able to get it sturdy enough, but it wouldn't be safe at all using only what came with it. I think a simpler design would be far more effective. Gave it 2 stars because I got it to be mostly functional.</span>
