My daughter is 2.5 years old and does NOT like to sit still, cutting baby nails is so much easier than toddlers. These nail clippers cut nails in a crisp and neat manner without me worrying about my grip on the clippers and getting the right position. I can easily and quickly cut her nails fuss free and she can be on her way faster than a traditional nail clipper. I've tried baby nail clippers before and found them to be clumsy and not sharp enough, these are the opposite and I'm glad I gave them a try. Our toddler is two years old and although I've clipped his nails many times, I still get really nervous. The Safety Grip Nail Clippers are larger than our current clippers. I feel like there was a learning curve just to get used to the feel of them in my hands. However, once I started using them, they were comfortable and did a great job. They do not slip out of my hands the way my other clippers do sometimes. They are also sharp enough to clip through the whole nail without leaving hangnails. I found these pretty comfortable to use with my little one, especially as nail clipping became more difficult. Until today, when I went to use it &amp; it basically exploded. The parts went flying everywhere- with my baby in my arms. I don't even know if I have all of the parts found as I'm not sure how many parts there were exactly. The tiny pin and &quot;screw&quot; were found but it upsets me greatly that these or any other part could have gotten my baby in the eye/s. I still am looking to see if I can find anything else but it may be gone into my heater. It definitely makes me wary of buying yet another set. My baby is a year and a half. I expected the clippers to last a long time&hellip; not go through two in a year and a half. Definitely a little shaken thinking something worse could of happened with the way it flew apart. I am a lefty and I didn't feel any discomfort at all. In addition, the clipper part is sharp enough for the task at hand but not too sharp to cause hangnails or discomfort to the child. Also, there is no unseemly build up of nail clippings stuck inside the cutting mechanism and it is easy to clean the device.
