The only thing good about it is the video quality. The monitor never lasted long without needing to be plugged in, and by 7-8 months it wouldn&rsquo;t even stay on if it wasn&rsquo;t plugged in. The button to turn it on only started working on one side so it would take me 3-4 tries to turn it on so that I could hold it down for the time required. And now, at just under 2 years, the monitor is completely dead and won&rsquo;t turn on at all. I haven&rsquo;t even had my second child yet which now means I need to buy a completely new monitor. I try to be a pretty conscious consumer because I don&rsquo;t like contributing to global waste and e waste, but that&rsquo;s basically impossible with this monitor. However, the antenna keeps breaking or something that causes the reception goes bad that we physically can&rsquo;t use it unless we are in the same room as the camera. Also, the last one we had the battery stopped working. Now customer service has replaced it twice at no cost and was easy to work with. We were dealing with that and plugging it in, however now tonight our monitor is having major issues where the night vision keeps turning on, the screen keeps zooming in, etc. even without touching anything on the device, while my baby is sleeping. Last night, the monitor stopped charging. I have 2 chargers and neither of them would charge the monitor. Today I reached out to Summer Baby, twice. The first instance was via chat. I was told I was beyond the 1 year warranty so there was nothing they could do. They offered me a 35% discount (which they referred to as a loyalty program discount). But since they do not sell just the monitor, I would have to purchase the whole set again. I was quoted $300 minus 35% plus tax. I purchased this product for $200 plus tax. It is available now on Amazon for $220 plus tax. This was not a solution and the price was insulting! I was told they couldn&rsquo;t help me any further. When I mentioned I was unhappy, the response I received was &ldquo;we&rsquo;re getting out of the monitor business anyways&rdquo;. I couldn&rsquo;t believe it. I then decided to call &ldquo;customer relations&rdquo;. I was extremely surprised to hear the exact same thing. She didn&rsquo;t seem to care whatsoever that my monitor was not working due to something clearly wrong with the charging port! She was firm, cold and had no comprehension of how to provide good customer service. When I mentioned what I was told via chat, she confirmed and said it&rsquo;s true, we are no longer going to be selling monitors. When I mentioned the discount I was offered and asked if something else could be done, I was told no. I mentioned Amazon&rsquo;s starting price is so much less. She told me &ldquo;then buy it from them&rdquo;. There was no sympathy for the product I purchased not working. It is not cheap! As parents, we rely heavily on the camera to ensure our child is safe. I will never support this company ever again and I will ensure none of my friends or family members do either. She told me they don&rsquo;t sell the replacement battery for my monitor anymore. She said I will just have to use it plugged it at all times. This is not convenient or practical for me. For only having the monitor for just over a year and the money I spent on it. I find this abosoulty ridiculous. I buy a lot of other products that are summer brand and will not be anymore. I do not recommend anyone to buy this product.
