Our 2 year old son loves having it next to his bed for his naps. With the handle, he can easily carry it around the house listening to very relaxing music! I bought batteries and started putting it together. It was so easy to put together I didn't even use the instructions. It was also so simple to add on to our crib. It took less than 5 minutes for set up. My baby loves to watch the ceiling fans so I was assuming he would love the mobile and he definitely does! It is so cute and has a lot of settings and doesn't move around too fast. I think he could watch it for hours if I let him! I also love that you have the option to take the mobile off and using it as a handheld carry around toy for him when he gets a little older. It's like 2 toys in 1! I think the colors and animals are cute and pretty neutral too so they can fit well into different nursery decors. When I briefly looked for a good mobile for his nursery a lot of the ones I found you had to buy the stand to hook onto the crib separately or they didn't move around which I didn't like. I ended up not getting a mobile then but I'm glad I have this one now, especially for when we have another child. If I could give it a 4.5 that would be my actual rating due to the annoying battery size but I don't think that makes it lose a whole point so I went with 5! After using the mobile, I was very impressed with it. It is easy to figure out how to use and has calming sounds for a baby to listen to. The colors are very calming at all and would go with many nursery decors. My son loves watching it and listening to the music while it is playing. It is easy to install and I love the fact that it grows with the baby as it can detach from a mobile and the child can walk around with the music. This is such a great feature and gives a longer life to the item! The instructions were easy to follow along for installation thanks to both pictures and written instructions. The audible &quot;click&quot; to indicate the snap in place was a helpful indication that the mobile was being installed correctly. However, as you can see in provided pictures, I remain confused as to how the mobile appears to be parallel to the ground in the instructions and product box, yet is at an angle when I installed the mobile per directions. Currently, we are using the mobile as attached to the crib as we are in the newborn stage, but I'm excited about the fact that the mobile is adaptable as my child grows older. The variety of music and sound is engaging (my older children are easily able to press the buttons and enjoy the music!). Having never used a mobile in the past, this was new for all of us. Assembly was a breeze. Most of the pieces click together with latches that you can press to disassemble it. The only tool you will need is a Phillips screwdriver to install the 3 C sized batteries. Using this product is very straightforward. There is a switch for on/off as well as turning the nightlight off. There are buttons for volume and the rest are for changing the song. My 1 year old figured out quickly that he can tap the large button in the center to change the song. The mount seems to be able to securely affix it to a wide variety of cribs. No tools are needed to mount the mobile to the crib. The volume adjustment is adequate. It will get pretty loud or turn down to a gentle whisper. The volume buttons are along the top edge so they are harder for a child to turn it all the way up on their own. Since beginning to use this mobile, he has been entertaining himself in his crib until I'm able to get to him. I also have a newborn that I might be feeding at the time that my 1 year old wakes up. Ever since then, I have found that I have a real affinity for the looks and functions of their mobiles. When I received the opportunity to test this new Soothe 'n Groove mobile from the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I jumped at the chance. I am expecting a new baby in the next few months, but I have 5 other kiddos in my house who got to try it out. It was a huge hit! Not only is it very adorable aesthetically, but the functions and longevity it offers continue to surprise me. Typically a mobile is great for the first few months, but then my child starts to grab it or pull on it, and away to storage it goes. With this mobile, not only do you get to utilize it as a traditional mobile for the beginning of your child's life, but it turns into a crib toy.soother without the toys to pull on/create hazards, and then it even turns into a little carrying toy that has proven to be absolutely beloved by my 19 month old, 3 year old, and 5 year old. Heck, I have seen my 9 and 12 year olds dabbling with it when they think no one is paying attention. It has a wide variety of pleasant sounds and lullabies that are offered, so no matter what your child prefers, you will find the right one for them here! Changing the mobile from the full mobile to the carrying toy is a piece of cake. Additionally, they use the same size c batteries as most of the mobiles I've used before so there was no hunting down a specialty battery, which was appreciated. Long story short, this mobile is great, long lasting, and a hit with my kids of all ages. That being said He LOVES the music base which has the capability of being detached but also hang on his crib. He bops the buttons and instantly hears different types of music with lights! This is definitely superior to other mobiles where they just play simple music from the mobile itself. It is also very beneficial for babies to learn cause and reaction i definitely see how my son goes straight for the buttons! Guess he loves that music!! A moveable sound machine with optionality to attach the mobile and crib attachment to hang on a crib. Our baby enjoyed the cute animals that were included to attach to the mobile and helped keep them entertained for a bit before they became fussy again. The sound machine provides several choices for music that they seemed to find enjoyable but I do wish the white noise button played more of a true white noise. The install was pretty straightforward but you will have to fasten it tightly to the crib. The versatile of the unit is quite good, we can take the sound machine with us on the go and put it near them wherever they decide to nap for the day. The majors cons that I have with this machine is the aforementioned white noise (which would've replaced our hatch for their sleeping) and that this thing needs C batteries. I can't remember the last time I needed C batteries and it feels rather antiquated to use when rechargeable batteries/plugging in option would've made more sense.
